Description:

This lot includes three pieces of artisan lampworked borosilicate glass smoking accessories along with a handmade crocheted storage pouch. The centerpiece is a heavily worked glass bubbler or water pipe standing approximately 4-5 inches tall, featuring an elaborate coiled and twisted body with deep cobalt blue base glass overlaid with striking teal, red, and burgundy swirl patterns throughout; the piece is further adorned with multiple applied dichroic glass marble accents that display a brilliant silver-blue iridescent shimmer. The second piece is a glass chillum or one-hitter approximately 3-4 inches in length, showcasing an intricate multicolor twist pattern incorporating blue, red, yellow, olive green, and lavender cane work in a tight spiral design consistent with skilled flameworking technique. Both glass pieces reflect the thriving Colorado artisan glass movement, with craftsmanship consistent with independent studio glass artists common to the Denver, Boulder, and Front Range creative communities. The handmade crochet pouch is worked in a rainbow stripe pattern with a green cannabis leaf motif in yarn applique, featuring a drawstring closure in navy blue, and measures approximately 5x3 inches — a charming handcrafted accessory. Condition is Very Good overall; the bubbler shows minor surface scuffs consistent with light use, the chillum appears clean and intact with no chips or cracks observed, and the crochet bag shows light wear to the yarn fibers. No maker signatures are visible on the glass pieces, which is typical of unsigned studio glass work. All three glass pieces appear structurally sound with no cracks, chips, or repairs noted.
