This is a substantial mixed vintage hand tool and hardware lot packed into a Priority Mail flat rate box, representing a well-organized workshop cleanout collection. The lot includes a vintage Stanley-style block plane (visible in the lower portion with black cast iron body and red turned knob, appearing to be a Stanley No. 1455B or similar), a large flat mill bastard file approximately 12 inches in length, a wide-blade putty knife or drywall knife with riveted wood handle, multiple sets of metric and fractional drive sockets bagged and labeled in zip-lock bags (sizes ranging from approximately 8mm through 19mm and fractional sizes including 3/8 and 1/4 inch noted on handwritten labels), assorted chisels with wooden handles, a hook/pick tool, various loose hardware fittings, and a glass bail-top jar filled with assorted screws, anchors, and small fasteners. A Monte-Cristo cigar box is also visible, likely containing additional small hardware. The socket sets appear to be chrome vanadium steel of mid-20th century vintage, and the hand tools show honest workshop use consistent with decades of service. Condition is overall Good to Fair — the block plane shows surface rust and paint loss, the file shows use wear, the putty knife blade has surface scratches and oxidation, wooden handles show checking and paint splatter, and the sockets show light surface oxidation but appear functional. This lot offers excellent value for the hobbyist, woodworker, or tool collector looking to build out a vintage hand tool collection at a fraction of retail cost.
