This lot features a set of four Cutco knives manufactured in the USA, as clearly marked on the blade of at least one knife which reads 'SAMPLE CUTCO No. 1759 U.S.A.' Cutco is an iconic American cutlery brand founded in 1949 in Olean, New York, and is widely regarded as one of the premier direct-sales cutlery companies in the United States, known for their high-carbon stainless steel blades and distinctive ergonomic handles. The set includes a mix of blade styles — appearing to include both straight-edge and serrated/scalloped-edge blades — all featuring Cutco's signature brown swirl (also known as 'dark brown Swirl' or 'Cutco brown') thermo-resin handles with polished nickel silver rivets and the classic pointed-tip handle design. The handles display the characteristic glossy marbled brown swirl pattern that is highly collectible and associated with vintage Cutco production. Blades are full-tang high-carbon stainless steel, approximately 4-5 inches in length, with the handles measuring approximately 4.5 inches, making each knife roughly 8.5-9.5 inches overall. Condition is rated Very Good; the blades show minor surface scratches and light use wear consistent with normal kitchen use, the handles retain strong gloss with minor scuffing, all rivets are secure, and no chips, cracks, or repairs are noted. One blade tip appears to have a small green residue mark near the tip. All five knives are structurally sound and functional.
