This lot features a Bumgarner family coat of arms heraldic crest wall plaque mounted on a shield-shaped wood backing with alternating light and dark wood grain stripes. The central hand-painted or lithographed heraldic shield depicts the Bumgarner family arms in traditional colors: a blue (azure) field divided by a fess with three red roses, surmounted by a knight's helmet with blue mantling and gold acanthus scrollwork surround. Flanking the central shield are two cast brass-tone metal figural supporters — a rampant lion on the left and a rearing unicorn on the right — both mounted directly to the wood backing. A small brass-tone nameplate at the bottom is engraved with 'Bumgarner' in Gothic script lettering. The shield-shaped plaque measures approximately 12 inches wide by 11 inches tall and appears to be a mid-20th century commercially produced family heraldry piece, consistent with the genealogy gift market popular from the 1960s through 1980s. The central crest panel is framed with a beaded brass-tone border adding a decorative dimensional element. Condition is Good to Very Good overall; the wood backing shows minor surface dust and light handling wear, the metal supporters show some tonal variation and minor wear to the finish, and the central crest panel appears intact with vivid colors. A great piece for any Bumgarner family member or heraldry collector.
