Description:
This charming set of three matching miniature stoneware condiment crocks with fitted lids showcases the classic two-tone brown drip glaze over natural salt-glazed stoneware body that was highly popular in American and European kitchenware production from the 1960s through the 1980s. Each crock features a rich amber-to-dark-brown reactive drip glaze covering the upper half and lid, transitioning to an unglazed natural buff/cream stoneware lower body — a hallmark of traditional utilitarian pottery design. The lids are fitted with rounded knob handles and seat snugly into a recessed rim, making these ideal for mustard, jam, honey, butter, or other condiments. Each crock measures approximately 2.5 inches in diameter and 2.5 inches tall (without lid), with lids adding roughly another inch in height — perfectly sized for individual table service or spice storage. The interior of each crock is fully glazed in the same warm amber-brown, indicating food-safe construction consistent with mid-century American stoneware production. No maker's marks are visible on the bases, which is common for mass-produced utilitarian stoneware of this era, though the style is consistent with Robinson Ransbottom, Western Stoneware, or similar American pottery producers. Condition is Very Good overall; one lid shows light surface scratching to the glaze, and there is minor crazing visible on the interior glaze of one crock consistent with age and normal use — no chips, cracks, or repairs noted on any of the three pieces, and all lids fit properly.
