Description:

This eye-catching bar lamp features a large white milk glass globe shade boldly decorated with the word 'BAR' in ornate Victorian-style striped block lettering rendered in black, evoking the classic saloon and tavern signage aesthetic popular from the late 19th century through the mid-20th century. The globe shade measures approximately 8-9 inches in diameter and sits atop a polished brass fitter cup with a decorative key-style rotary on/off switch — a hallmark of vintage lamp hardware construction. The stem is a turned black-painted or ebonized wood or resin baluster column, connecting the brass fitter above to a substantial round stepped brass base below, giving the piece a classic pub lamp silhouette reminiscent of Victorian saloon and speakeasy decor. This style of bar globe lamp was widely produced during the 1960s-1980s as novelty home bar accessories, capitalizing on the mid-century home entertaining and rec room culture boom, and remains highly sought after by collectors of barware, man cave decor, and vintage Americana. The ornate circus/carnival-style lettering on the globe is consistent with period screen-printed milk glass production and adds significant decorative appeal. Condition is assessed as Good to Very Good overall: the milk glass globe appears intact with no visible chips or cracks, the brass hardware shows light tarnishing and minor surface wear consistent with age, the black stem shows minor scuffing, and the electrical cord is present though rewiring by a qualified electrician is recommended before use. A charming and functional piece perfect for a home bar, man cave, or vintage-themed Colorado saloon-style interior.
