Description:

A highly desirable 1917-S Walking Liberty Half Dollar, one of America's most iconic and beautiful silver coin designs. Struck at the San Francisco Mint, this early Walking Liberty half features Adolph A. Weinman's celebrated depiction of Liberty striding toward the rising sun, a design later revived for the American Silver Eagle program.

The 1917-S is considered a better-date coin within the Walking Liberty series and remains a favorite among collectors of early 20th-century U.S. silver coinage. This example is housed in an older collector's holder labeled "1917-S Obverse," adding to its estate collection provenance and presentation appeal.

Lot Features:

  • Genuine 1917-S Walking Liberty Half Dollar
  • San Francisco Mint issue
  • 90% silver composition
  • Classic Adolph Weinman design
  • Early Walking Liberty series collectible
  • Popular key-era U.S. silver coin
  • Estate collection fresh to market
  • Excellent addition to a type set, silver collection, or Walking Liberty set
