Description:
This handsome Mission-style cabinet is branded with a cast metal 'Purelwood Oak' maker's badge affixed to the front apron, identifying it as a quality production piece built in the Arts and Crafts tradition. Constructed of solid oak and oak veneers finished in a rich medium-to-dark cherry-toned stain, the piece features a lift-top upper section with a recessed pull handle, a central open display shelf ideal for electronics or books, and a lower single-door cabinet with a classic Mission-style vertical slat panel design and a black cast-iron turn latch. The bold cathedral grain of the quartersawn-style oak is prominently showcased across all surfaces, lending the piece strong visual character consistent with Craftsman and Mission Revival aesthetics popularized in the early 20th century and revived heavily in American furniture production through the 1980s–2000s. Hardware throughout is finished in an oil-rubbed black iron tone, complementing the warm stain beautifully and reinforcing the Arts and Crafts design vocabulary. Estimated dimensions are approximately 24 inches wide by 18 inches deep by 30 inches tall. Condition is rated Very Good; the finish shows minor light surface scratches consistent with normal use, the lift-top mechanism operates smoothly, the door latch functions properly, all joints appear tight and structurally sound with no wobble, and no chips, cracks, or repairs are noted. An excellent and versatile piece suited as a nightstand, end table, or accent cabinet in a Craftsman, Mission, or rustic Colorado mountain home setting.
