Description:
These are a pair of vintage Full Bore motocross boots constructed from heavy black leather with a tall shaft design characteristic of late 1970s to early 1980s off-road motorcycle racing footwear. Full Bore was a well-regarded American motocross gear brand during the golden era of motocross, producing equipment favored by amateur and professional riders competing in events across Colorado and the Western United States. The boots feature three chromed metal lever-style buckle clasps on the outer shin panel, a studded leather ankle strap system with additional metal hardware at the lower boot, and a padded textile cuff at the top opening — all hallmarks of period-correct MX boot construction. The soles appear to be a thick rubber lug-style unit with good remaining tread depth, and the overall shaft height is approximately 14-15 inches. The 'Full Bore' logo is embossed/printed directly onto the outer shin panel in white lettering with the brand's distinctive arrow graphic, confirming authenticity. Condition is rated Fair to Poor: the boots show heavy use consistent with decades of riding including significant delamination and separation of the inner lining along the front seam of both boots exposing red underlayer material, cracking and drying of the leather throughout, heavy soiling and grime buildup on the cuffs and hardware, and the lower buckle clasp on the left boot appears bent or partially broken. The chrome clasps show corrosion and tarnish. These boots are best suited for display, costume, or collection purposes rather than active riding use.
