This is a vintage General Electric (GE) large-format electric griddle, dating to approximately the 1980s based on the classic GE logo medallion and design aesthetic. The unit features a substantial flat nonstick cooking surface estimated at approximately 18x16 inches, constructed of heavy-gauge aluminum with a dark nonstick coating, surrounded by a raised lip edge to contain grease and cooking juices. The front apron displays the iconic GE circular logo badge on a brushed aluminum/chrome-finish panel framed by a black plastic border, a hallmark of GE's consumer appliance styling from this era. A detachable probe-style temperature control unit is included, featuring a black Bakelite-style housing with a white-faced dial marked with the GE logo and temperature settings, which plugs directly into the side of the griddle unit for precise heat regulation — a design GE pioneered and popularized in their countertop appliance lines. A black plastic drip/grease catch tray is present at the rear of the unit and appears intact and clean. Condition is rated Good overall: the nonstick cooking surface shows light surface scratches and some discoloration consistent with normal use and age, the brushed aluminum front panel displays moderate scratching, the GE logo badge remains intact and legible, the probe temperature control appears complete and functional, and the grease tray is present and in good condition; electrical functionality is not tested and is sold as-is, which is standard practice for vintage small appliances at auction.
