This is a pair of vintage JBL studio speakers from the 1970s, professional-grade loudspeaker cabinets featuring 300-watt handling capacity and large-format 3-way designs. Each cabinet houses a 15-inch woofer with metal dust cap for deep bass response, a mid-range driver approximately 8 inches in diameter with octagonal aluminum frame and silver metal dust cap for midrange clarity, and a small rectangular horn-style tweeter with integrated crossover network for precise high-frequency reproduction. The crossover components are integrated into each cabinet to optimize the frequency division between drivers. The black baffle board contrasts with the walnut wood side panels and striking burlwood veneer top panels featuring rich amber and brown tones characteristic of premium 1970s studio speaker construction. The front grille cloth is intact on both units. Port tubes are visible along the bottom of each baffle, indicating a bass-reflex enclosure design optimized for extended low-frequency response.
