Description:

Lot # 696 - Pair of Antique Brass Bells Used as a Safety Measure on Ore Wagons in Mine Shafts, On Leather Straps.  Each strap is 19" long and has three bells on each.  The bells are brass with natural patina seen, each measures 2 1/2" tall.  See photos for condition.  Bells all still have the original knockers.  Straps are worn and damaged from age and use.  Year unknown.  19th Century.  The family attached tags with explanations to many items in the museum, this is one of them!
