Lot # 718 - Lot of Assorted Pre-Ban Ivory Pieces, Drink Skewers, Earrings, Necklace, and Sewing Tool. This set includes six drink skewers with different animals carved on each one. One of the sticks has the animal chipped off, the other five are fine. Also includes three elephant pins, one long with four elephants marching, and two single pins. A pair of dangle earrings with carved cranes. A sewing/knitting tool? and a graduated beaded necklace with no clasp. Sold for the beads only. Also includes what looks like an ivory zipper pull or small luggage bling, with an arctic fox on it.
Disclaimer: This Ivory collection was owned by Hazel Hammer Humphrey (1881- 1972). Most pieces were acquired during her extensive travels in her early years, the rest were mail ordered from Israel, many with the original packaging. She was the only owner and as with everything else in the home/museum, the items were documented. We have contacted both the Federal and State Fish and Wildlife Service to make certain we are in compliance. We are however, only selling them in-state. Pick up only.
