Description:

Lot # 481 -Mid-1800's Tortoiseshell Cross- Brooch & Pendant- Gold Cannetille Work, Turquoises & Pearls

Most likely Western European from the Mid-1800. Amazing piece of art jewelry made of tortoiseshell, masterfully decorated with gold cannetille work, turquoises and pearls. Can be used as pendant/brooch or framed to preserve this gorgeous piece.

Note: See last photo of small gold bead that has detached and has been saved for you to repair. A card which accompanies the cross states that the turquoise has been repaired. We assume that means one of the turquoise stones fell off and was restored.  Otherwise in beautiful condition!

Disclaimer: This Tortoiseshell Cross was owned by Hazel Hammer Humphrey (1881- 1972).  The pieces were acquired during her extensive travels in her early years.  She was the only owner.  We are however, only selling them in-state.  Pick up only.

NO SHIPPING- pick up only!
