This is a Skilcraft No. 500 Senior Chemistry Lab set dating to the 1960s, housed in a metal case with foam-lined interior trays. The kit includes an impressive array of components: approximately 20 labeled chemical bottles (sodium ferrocyanide, sodium salicylate, phenolphthalein solution, cobalt chloride, sulfur, calcium chloride, and more), a blue metal balance scale graduated to 1000mg, a solid fuel rocket launcher with launch rail, glass test tubes, Pyrex stirring rod, tweezers, test tube brush, mortar pieces, small glass jars, and the original instruction booklet with order form. The metal case shows significant rust along the edges and corners, the box lid has surface wear, creasing, and a string tie, and the foam trays show age-related crumbling; chemical bottles appear largely intact with original labels readable. The set appears substantially complete with most components present in their original foam cutouts.
