Description:

Up for auction is a Webley Mk VI revolver, chambered in .455 Webley. This iconic top-break revolver was the standard sidearm of British and Commonwealth forces during World War I and remained in military and police use through the early 20th century.

This particular revolver features a nickel-plated finish and retains its military markings, including “.455” and “Mk VI”, along with British proof stamps. The top-break design automatically ejects spent cartridges when the action is opened — a hallmark of Webley engineering.

Key Details:

  • Manufacturer: Webley & Scott, Birmingham, England
  • Model: Mark VI
  • Caliber: .455 Webley
  • Action: Double Action / Single Action
  • Capacity: 6 rounds
  • Finish: Nickel (refinished or post-service plating)
  • Grips: Checkered hard rubber
  • Barrel: 6-inch
  • Markings: “.455 . . . . . . . . . . Mk VI” and British proof marks visible
  • Condition: Very good overall. Nickel finish is bright with minor handling wear. Mechanically sound with a tight lock-up and smooth action. Bore shows light use and visible rifling. Holster included.

Notes:

A fine example of the legendary Webley Mk VI — one of the most recognizable service revolvers in military history. These revolvers served from the trenches of World War I through postwar British colonial service and remain a prized collectible today.

Sold as-is. Not test-fired. Buyer must comply with all local, state, and federal firearm regulations. Ships to a licensed FFL dealer where applicable.
