The Humphrey History Park and Museum in Evergreen Colorado is liquidating. This is a great opportunity for collectors of quality antiques. This large log home is filled with treasures acquired from the late 1800s through the 1920s. The museum is a tribute to three generations of wealthy women dedicated to traveling and collecting items from around the globe and proudly displaying them in every corner of their home. Native American, The Civil War, the Far East, the Middle East, Africa, and Europe. It begins with Mary Amaryllis Hammer (Socialite and Wife of Circuit Judge Harry Hammer in Chicago) in the 1800s. She devoted her life to acquiring treasures and collections during her extensive travels. Her daughter Hazel Hammer Humphrey (b.1881) and granddaughter Hazel Lou Humphrey (b.1917) continued this tradition in the Evergreen home for 75 years. The home became a museum after Hazel Lou's death in 1995 (at her request). Because of the vast number of items in this museum, there will be a series of auctions concentrating on different areas of the home, spanning 2-3 months Aug-Nov 2022. We have kept the on-site gift shop open and is full of smaller items from the museum that will not be in the auction. Please plan to pop in there while picking up your winnings!
