Offered is a vintage group of World War II–era Japanese occupation paper money, issued by the Japanese government for use in occupied territories across Southeast Asia and the Pacific during the early 1940s.

These notes were produced for circulation in former British-controlled regions, including areas such as Malaya, Borneo, and surrounding island territories, where traditional British denominations like shillings and rupees were temporarily replaced under Japanese military administration.
The shilling notes feature tropical island imagery with palm trees and coastal scenes, while the half rupee displays architectural motifs typical of occupation-era designs. All are clearly marked “The Japanese Government”, a hallmark of wartime issue currency commonly referred to by collectors as Japanese Invasion Money.
Condition ranges from circulated to heavily circulated, with visible wear, edge roughness, and staining consistent with age and wartime use. No attempt has been made to clean or restore the notes.
