Description:

This is a hand-painted Bitossi ceramic decorative bowl in the shape of a stylized horse, featuring a light blue glaze with red and blue geometric accents around the rim. The underside is signed 'Italy,' indicating its origin. Bitossi Cermiche is an Italian cermics manufacturer founded in Montelupo Fiorentino in 1921.  The company gained international recognition for its collaborations wih designers like Aldo Londi, who created many of the iconic Rimini Blu series and other distinctive pieces.

Bitossi ceramics are known for their vibrant glazes, modernist designs, and often whimsical forms, making them highly collectible.  This piece is vintage, reflecting mid-20th century Italian ceramic artistry. It can be used as a decorative item, a serving dish for small snacks, or a unique centerpiece.
