Description:
This collection includes two 1970's Garnier Liqueurs ceramic bird decanters from their State Bird series, featuring a robin and Baltimore oriole perched on hand-sculpted branches with vibrant foliage. These highly collectible decanters were produced for Garnier Liqueurs circa 1970's with containers made in Italy, known for their bold color, glossy majolica-style glazing, and detailed craftsmanship. Both are in very good vintage condition and exhibit light age-related wear on the base and glaze typical of Garnier pieces from this era. No major cracks or repairs noted. This lot also includes a striking hand-painted tray featuring a vibrant Scandinavian-style floral design with two golden birds surrounded by lush flowers, berries and leaves. The artwork is richly detailed and painted in traditional rosemaling-inspired folk art style, set against a deep black background that makes the colors pop. In addition, the lot includes three artist signed ceramic mugs decorated with nature scenes. Bring the outdoors to your morning routine with these studio pottery mugs, each featuring a detailed 3D mountain landscape relief. The artisan sculpted rugged cliffs, trees, and foliage directly onto the mugs' surface, then hand-painted each element with earthy greens, browns, and sky-blue accents. Handmade by a ceramicist on the western slope, but unsigned. All items exhibit a vintage aesthetic, from the mid-20th century, characterized by detailed craftsmanship and folk art influences.
