The family that's selling this portrait has passed the history of this painting and the embroidery from the previous lot down with the family.

Jane Miller (Dickey) born September 18th 1785 to John & Margaret (Irvine) Miller in Hawicks, Scotland. Brought to Philadelphia, Pa in 1786. Married Ebenezer Dickey of Oxford, Pa. April 11th 1805.

She died in Oxford, Pa. Oct. 23rd 1850 and is buried in a grave with her husband in Oxford cemetery.
