Description:

Japanese Bronze Usubata Vase Used in the art of Ikebana flower arranging. This is a highly detailed vase most likely from the early 1900s

  • The Usubata features a round, bowl-like top with a central hole, for holding floral arrangements.
  • The base is supported by three legs, each shaped like an elephant's head.
  • Decorative patterns, possibly depicting birds or dragons, adorn the sides.
  • It is made of bronze with a patina, suggesting age.
  • Similar pieces are described as being from the Han Dynasty.
