Lot # 92 - 1911 Signed Photo of William Allan Pinkerton (1846-1923) Civil War, Secret Service, Detective Agency 

William Pinkerton joined the secret service division of the U. S. Army in 1861. He served throughout the Civil War, mainly in the Army of Potomac. After the war, he became clerk in his father's office,  The Pinkerton National Detective Agency.  This signed photo is addressed to "Fred Secord", possibly a friend of the Humphrey's?  VGC.
