Lot # 9 - Amazing and RARE Find! A Chain & Hardy (Denver, CO) Solid Iron Book Press w/ Wheel Crank Early 1900s. This fancy, yet used heavy book press was from the book store Chain & Hardy on Larimer St in Denver (See last photo). Chain & Hardy were not publishers which is odd their brand is on a book press, but it must have been so elegant in its day! Black with Gold accents. It still works just as intended! Wear seen from age and use. Lee Humphrey was a Journalist for "The Denver Times" and must have had connections.
Measures 15"W x 10 1/2"W x 16" tall. Solid iron.
