Description:

Lot # 217 - Two Lithograph Art Posters from 1800s of Napoleon in Egypt, on Cardboard and Linen.  The June Century, lithograph on cardboard, 15" x 21", By E. Grasset, Paris 1895.  This one has some small tears seen on the sides and some folding,  Next is another lithograph of Napoleon "The January Century, The Best Life of Napoleon Magnificently Illustrated", which was probably a magazine cover ~1894.  This piece measures 20" x 27" and has a linen backing, also by E. Grassit 1894,  this piece shows wear and damage around the edges.  See photos for details.  

If this looks familiar to some of you that have been following the auctions, Hazel Hammer Humphrey was an artist and did a painting of one of these posters in the early 1900s which sold in auction #3.
