This is an antique cast iron St. Bernard dog still coin bank, Nicely cast with textured fur detail and rich aged patina throughout. Heavy two-piece cast iron construction with visible screw fastener and coin slot opening.
*Although unmarked this design is frequently attributed to A.C. Williams, a prominent toy and still bank manufacturer founded in 1886. These banks, which typically date from the early 1900s, often depict the dog carrying a rescue pack or saddlebags on its back.
