Decorative Chinese cloisonne enamel plate titled Bird of Paradise from the collectible series Treasures of the Chinese Mandarins. The plate features vibrant cloisonne enamel work depicting two birds perched among flowering lotus stems against a rich blue background, framed by an ornate gold tone border decorated with traditional Chinese motifs.
The reverse of the plate notes that the design is inspired by an original work from the Chien Lung period 1736 to 1796 of the Ching Dynasty. This example is numbered 0928 of a limited edition of 2500 pieces, making it part of a collectible series produced in the traditional Oriental cloisonne style.
